Louise Goffin’s 10th album Two Different Movies features an album cover sketch of Louise made by Joni Mitchell and ten previously unreleased original songs: three solo writes and nine written with favorite collaborators.
Stylistically it ranges from sublime torch vocals to irresistible rhythms, soul and magnificently whimsical arrangements, including an orchestral arrangement by the great Van Dyke Parks. Goffin’s songs sound current yet harks to an era where both the musicality of her mother and the lyrical genius of her father made songs so lovable you want to treasure them like you do dear friends.
Goffin, a Grammy-nominated producer herself, co-produced this album with four-time Grammy-winning engineer and producer Dave Way.
