Louise Goffin is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. She was born in Brooklyn and lives in Los Angeles, spending some of her time in Yucca Valley.

Mix a torch song, a dust storm, and a well-thumbed paperback, give it a voice, then turn on the night until it answers. That’s how the music feels at the door of Louise Goffin’s world.

She spends her time songwriting, producing, and traveling to different places. Songs keep arriving faster than she can raise them and send them to college, so she releases a single every few months while finishing her latest album.

Her music comes out of instinct, craft, and a relationship with the studio. She went to the Blackbird Academy in Nashville and found she already knew more about the studio than she realized, body memory from a childhood spent around her parents writing songs. She writes songs and songs write her back, and she means that literally. What she puts into the work comes back to carry her.

She is also the founder and director of the Goffin & King Foundation, which brings emerging songwriters together for retreats in places that have inspired her.
